Extremely Tough Material |
Semi-Hard Hard, rubber type elasticity |
Really Grips ... because of the elasticity |
Very elastic - used to replace rubber in industry do to its strength and toughness and elasticity. Used in wheels of Roller Blades and Skateboards |
NO ... does not Mark or Mar the Bats ... even at high compression that is required with the BBCOR |
Extremely expensive, 4-5 times as much as Acetal
6-7 times as much as Nylon
|
| Acetal-Delrin® |
Extremely Tough Material
|
Extremely Hard, almost as hard as steel |
Grips poorly, very slick plastic |
Zero Elasticity ... and nearly as hard as steel |
Yes, Acetal can and sometimes does mark the bats at the compressions required with the BBCOR |
Very cheap and that is why they use it |
| Nylon |
Extremely Tough Material |
Extremely Hard Material, almost as hard as steel |
Grips poorly, 2nd slickest plastic next to Teflon® |
Zero Elasticity ... and nearly as hard as steel |
Yes, Nylon can and sometimes does mark the bats at the compressions required with the BBCOR |
Very cheap and that is why they use it |
* Based on the Plastics alone, and the gripping power and anti-making of our rollers, the Panther Xtreme comes out number 1 in the bat rolling machine debate, but there is much more!

* Welded Steel is a much stronger construction then Aluminum that is screwed together. Please see charts below to see that since we can quickly and easily change out any and all parts on our welded machine. Our competitor claims we can not ... but that is simply not the truth.
The Xtreme and the 400PCCR are both built out of strong steel, welded construction ... but there are some big differences in the construction of the machines, which we detailed out under the 2013 improvement section of this page. (Bottom of page)
The GD-6000 is built with an inferior method of construction. Tanks are built with welded steel construction as are bridges etc. Any time you screw something together you risk screws backing out and also stripping. While aluminum is strong, it also flexes more then steel, which is not good when rolling to high compressions, like what is needed when rolling BBCOR bats
Warranty: The Xtreme comes with a lifetime warranty. We have been accused of building machines with parts that can not be replaced. The truth is we can replace all parts quickly without having to grind any of the machine apart. The GD-6000 has to unscrew and disassemble their machine to replace the parts. We do not and can remove all parts out the front of the machine or side openings and we do not cut the welds as they have said.
The GD-6000 2 year warranty does not even compare to the Xtreme lifetime warranty.
The 400PCCR also comes with a lifetime warranty However the charts above and especially the one on the plastics clearly point out that when you want the best ... you need to choose the green, choose the Xtreme.
2013 Changes for the Xtreme (new photos soon to follow)
We have made a couple of huge changes for 2013 and it is now incorporated in all of our machines.
1. We have added 1/2 inch thick steel to the top plates of the machine and upper carriage. This eliminates any flexing that can go on over thousands of rolls.
2. We have changed the side holes on all of our machines by 30%, which gives adds 30% more clearance. This is very important in a couple of areas.
A. Eliminates any nicking of the bats when installing in the machine
B. Ensures the bats do not rub against the sidewalls during extreme high compression, such as when you are rolling the BBCOR bats.
3. We have increased the thickness of our side guides to 3/16 inch on all of our machines. During high compression, the side guides keep the upper carriage in place, and this addition became needed. The 400PCCR is using 1/8 inch thick side guides.

NOTE: Our competitors do not name 1 major bat roller that is using their machine. A simple internet search for bat rolling proves out our facts that all of the major bat rollers in the country are using the Panther Xtreme. Because it grips and protects and rolls your bats like no other machine in the country.
At Panther Machines we continue to push the cutting edge to bring the best possible machines to you, the 2013 Panther Xtreme is like no other machine on the market today.
